// The Problem
North American adults spend more than ninety percent of their time indoors - and over a quarter experience allergies and allergy-related symptoms. Many Canadians simply live with symptoms of allergies. But it’s not to be taken lightly - exposure to VOCs, mold, dust and chemicals can contribute to higher risk of developing respiratory symptoms, allergies, asthma, and lung cancer.
// Our Solution
We offer small, lightweight, portable generators for at home or other small, residential spaces. Our generators are quiet and require little to no installation or maintenance. They’re inexpensive to run, energy efficient, and can make a lasting difference in your family’s health. We’re excited to announce a partnership with OHAir, a new developer of residential-specific Odorox machines that improve the health of you and your family.
// Case Study
Chona Rivera, an office manager in Alberta, Canada, struggled to maintain the health of her family after the birth of her son, Zach. Zach was born prematurely at 31 weeks. At 11 months, he had to be admitted to Alberta Children’s Hospital Intensive Care Unit for over a month. Doctors’ worries included viral infections, bacterial infections, and difficulty breathing. He was put on a variety of asthma medications. After he came home, he experienced frequent and severe allergic reactions and infections. Chona installed a residential Odorox unit in their home. The effects were immediate.
//How it works
- A fan blows contaminated air into the Odorox chamber, where UV rays and ambient humidity allow compounds and chemicals in the air to oxidise.
- Oxidation breaks down these harmful compounds into hydroxyl radicals. Hydroxyls then exit the chamber with the freshly deodorized and decontaminated air.
- Newly-created hydroxyls react with compounds in the surrounding air, breaking them down without having to cycle through the generator. The result is a cascade effect.
